Terbinafine - Skin Rash and Side Effects

I was prescribed terbinafine accidentally as my doctor thought I had a fungal skin infection, which turned out to be shingles instead. I took terbinafine from March 27th to April 4th, in which case I went to the ER on April 4th as the supposed infection was getting worse. The ER doctor suspected shingles (he was right). I immediately stopped taking terbinafine. The one week which I was using it, however, I had extremely itchy skin. Everywhere I itched I would end up with blisters and a rash. I'm talking a severe itch and a severe rash. About 50% of the upper portion of my right arm is in the process of healing due to this rash and let me tell you, it is taking quite a long time to heal. It has been 14 days since I stopped terbinafine. The itch has subsided (aside from the itch of the healing rash) but I still have tiny blisters popping up here and there. Not many but enough to continue this paranoia that this drug has induced in me. I am someone who has never had skin issues or allergies of any kind. However this is rather unsettling to say the least.

Can anyone tell me what their healing experience was like after terbinafine? How long did it take after you stopped use? How long before all allergic side effects stopped?

I'll be reporting this drug to the government of Canada. I can't see how they would approve this and allow it to be out on the market.
