Terrible back pain with odd symptoms

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the correct group but I really need help.

I apologize in advance for this being so lengthy but I feel I need to cover everything.

Also I'm 14 years old and female.

About a month ago I was experiencing low back pain. But as I had just come home about a week later from having my appendix removed I was thought it was normal and still continued to do regular activities with limited mobility as per my surgeon's instructions. At this time I was also not going to the bathroom, I would sit there for an hour with an awfully bad urge to go but it never came out (it came out eventually.) I was experiencing this in the hospital as I was there 3 times and just thought it was a reaction to all the anesthesia I had been through. I had an appointment with a neurologist already (I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome on my lower right leg and foot) and mentioned it to him anyways, he didn't seem like it was an issue and told me to go back to him in a few months for the CRPS and so I can start being taken off of my gabapentin (was upped from 200mg a day to 400mg a day at the hospital). My mother decided anyways to take me to a pediatrician, and they figured it was a side effect from the Elavil I am taking as well (50mg a day). I was also starting to feel a shooting pain going down my legs along with the lower back pain. The pediatrician told us to contact the neurologist again as that is out of their knowledge. We contacted the neurologist and told him everything, he told my mom to take me off the Elavil (have not taken it in 3 weeks), and to get my blood drawn for some special nerve condition tests as well as autoimmune diseases (I know lupus was one of them, thats it). Before the blood tests some new symptoms came up, I was only going to the bathroom one time a day even though I am drinking 3-4 bottles of water a day, and my left leg was starting to feel different, like a tingling feeling but not completely numb. I went for the blood test and while the nurse was drawing my blood no blood was coming out and next thing I know I woke up on a bed as I had passed out. They finally got my blood and we left.

After that now on top of me going to the bathroom once a day despite drinking 3-4 bottles of water a day, I'm now starting to see pee stains on my underwear and on the toilet paper before I go and I have absolutely no urge to go (haven't had an urge in weeks), I go because I know I have to go, and even after that, I'm not urinating enough compared to what I'm drinking. I'm also not going poo but I haven't been going as often since September, when this appendicitis started. On top of that, my leg is still having that tingling feeling and sometimes for a few minutes parts of my leg will just go numb. I'm also having this weird tingling feeling in my private areas as well as my butt. I havent been sleeping well as I'm being kept up by my back pain and a feeling of coldness will be in both legs as well as my private.

At this point I have no idea what's going on and I'm scared of what's going on with me. Anything at all as to what this might be might make me feel relieved. I'm also going to a rheumatologist on Friday and hopefully I'll get some answers then. I just want to be normal, I have not attended school in 2 months because of all this.

Ok if I was you would I would go to A & E, you need to rule out slow onset cauda equina?? It could be nerve damage after your opp that will settle in time but just incase you need to get checked over for CE, while your having toilet issues I would cut back on the amount of water you are drinking until you get it sorted, I would actually mention it so it dosnt get by passed, I hope this is not the case but if it is you need to get it sorted quickly, let me know how you get on, good luck I hope your sorted soon 😊

I am sorry you are having these problems at a young age, is it possible for you to talk with a nurse at the clinic and ask her these questions? She could look at your medical history and might think you need to see a urologist.

You sound mature for your age, I hope you find help, and get better. My daughter had an appendectomy and it took time to heal. Persist in caring for you.
