Terrible pain in the other foot now

It's been more than a year since my ankle sprain(left foot). Now all of a sudden I'm having unbearable pain in my right foot sometimes will walking. My physio thinks it's because of the improper gait I developed after this awful sprain, that more of my weight goes in the right foot. I can't walk for few more minutes at all. He advised to use a horseshoe shaped arch support on my right shoe. But it didn't help much. What can I do now?

my podiatrist suggests Superfeet Berry color inserts found on Amazon and a good lace up shoe- Saucony athletic or Rockport for dress. I just had ankle surgery and when I am able, I will be wearing a dress boot to give me more ankle support.

    Good luck.

I googled that and it seems like an insole. I already use that in one of my shoes. It's alright but doesn't help that much in my case.
