Terrified I have Bowel Cancer

Hi this is my first time posting on this forum but for over a fortnight I have been suffering from constipation. Every time I try and go I either can't do it or I pass only small bullet like feces. I found out that constipation could be a sign of cancer and that has really worried me. I have a doctor's appointment on Friday but that is still three days of sitting around worried 😔 thanks for listening everyone!

    Hi Matthew

    Please do not assume you have cancer - constipation be due to so many things ie diet problems, irritable bowel syndrome or even side effects of some medications.  You are doing the right thing by going to your doctor early, he will probably send you for tests or prescribe a laxative.

    I have had bowel cancer, but I didn't have constipation sympton.  And you know even if any evidence of cancer is found early enough it will be cured, just like I was.

    I understand your concerns, but please try not to worry at this stage.  I wish you well

      I'm so glad to hear you are now ok and thank you for your reassurance. The thing that really got to me today was that my stool was incredibly thin. I've heard that could be because a tumorr is  blocking my rectum

    Yea def dont speculate, i made that mistake. Thats why i didnt say what i thought ur issue is. Just my experience with it. I honestly do not think its cancer though based on what i have learned.
