Terrified of a Bartholin Cyst! Help!

Hi, this is my first time posting in a forum. I am really hoping to get a bit of help or reassurance. I found a lump on the right side entrance to my Vagina over a week ago. It wasn’t painful.  I went docs and was diagnosed with a BC and given a weeks worth of Antibiotics. Been back to the docs today and it hasn’t really improved. It started to go down when I ready about salt baths but yesterday it swept back up. The Doc doesn’t sound convinced that it’s a BC and is thinking about referring me to a gyn. I have lost both my parents to cancer and I am now terrified of this lump.

It is about the size of a grape, it isn’t painful and it isn’t very hard. I just don’t know what to do!! Has anyone else had this??

    Hey there.

I was diagnosed with bc too, a few days ago I felt a small pea size lump and it was painless.

But over the next few days it began to grow and it was harder to walk or sit without being in pain. I went to the doctors and was given antibiotics and told to use a heat pad at night and salt baths until it bursts.

If it doesn't burst the doctor said he will lance it and drain it. (After numbing the area of course)

I know it's easier said than done, but try not to stress as it'll only make symptoms worse.

You can get a blood test to help ease your mind too.
