Terrified of throat/thyroid cancer

So I'm a 22 year old female. I've always been pretty healthy (minus one thing I'll get to in a minute) and have no history of cancer in my family at all. I do however have severe hypochondria and lately it has been off the rails. About a month and a half ago, my throat started hurting and a few lymph nodes in my neck were swollen. The nodes are tender but not exactly painful, ranging from about the size of peas to kidney beans and they move around easily. I went to the doctors and was diagnosed with strep throat (I also had a CBC done and everything was normal except my WBC was a little high due to the strep). I had my tonsils removed at 13 due to having recurring strep throat for over a year, totaling about 10-15 infections in that time. Even though my tonsils were removed, I've had strep a couple times over the years. Anyways I was given 5 days of azithromycin for the strep and that seemed to clear it up, though the swollen nodes didn't go away entirely. My doctor told me this can happen especially since I compulsively dig around in my neck looking for more and constantly poke them as hard as I can) and it was nothing to worry about.

Bringing us back to now, about 3 days ago my throat/neck area began to hurt again. My throat is now very sore, my neck is slightly puffy and swollen, feels tight, there are a few new nodes and I feel a little lump in my throat when I swallow.

I have convinced myself that this is cancer, thyroid or throat to be exact. I have also had pretty bad sinus problems for a few weeks which I heard can indicate throat cancer when paired with a sore throat. I haven't had any classic signs like hoarseness, fatigue, weight loss, night sweats, etc but I know those aren't always present. I am going back to my doctor this week to be retested for strep but I am terrified and really need some reassurance. Does this sound like cancer to you or is it possible that the antibiotics didn't clear my strep? I cry almost every day, sleep only a few hours and cannot think about anything else. It's the worst my hypochondria has ever been and it's truly ruining my life Any feedback is appreciated!

Hello, sorry to hear this but sometimes when we are panic, little symptoms will make us go grazy! Especially if you try dr google. Let me tell you, i had like a dirty urine and i google and they told me a lot of stuff. This and that, diabetes, uti, kidney disease, anything worse you can think of! The symptoms especially! So i went to the doctor, did a urine test. Guess what, it call came back clear! I was thinking, what? this cant be true. But reality is that its true, trust the doctor because he knows better than dr google. So he told me i was overreacting and guess what! He was right. I was overreacting. So,i just want you to trust the doctor and everything will be fine!
