Terrified on the idea of loosing a testicle

For the past 5-6 days I've had discomfort in my balls for first time in my life.

Initially it was a kind of "pain" which was felt for a few hours and was pain only when i was walking or trying tp touch my balls but later subsided and now I have only a very dull sensation of nausea on my balls, as if my balls have eaten expired food.

I only fear torsion. I have no swelling, and practically no pain at the moment.Just this annoying feeling of nausea and sensitiveness coming from my balls.

My mind still isn't at ease. Most of the discomfort is in my left side, and my lefty is the highest teste, but I've read that having teste of different sizes / height is normal.

I've read stories of people WITH torsion that have resulted in sterility, which I am terrified of, but all these stories involve massive amounts of pain that usually make them pass out. This is definitely not my case. I've also heard that symptoms involve the aforementioned acute, large amounts of pain, that the teste is higher than the other, and it is swollen and discolored, which mostly is not the case with me.

The pain started after excessive masturbation for a week, which didnt end in ejaculation.Could it be "blue balls of love"?

So what are my chances of losing only of my balls? Are they high? :C

    Hi Eugene,

If you do have what you suspect to be a torsion then the likelyhood is youll have another

However you will only lose your testicle is the torsion occurs for a period long enough to kill the teste which is usually a long period of time

However if you can go and get this checked at your GP surgery and explain what's going on you may be able to have a corrective surgery where they pin the ductus deferens (the tube of which the testes hang off) and this will prevent the torsion

Hope this helps, tell us how you get on

Well thank you for the reply

But I just want to let you know that the long period of time you are reffering to is just  6 hours without blood supply (i.e torsion) to loose a testicle.

The surgery you are talking about it not needed for all people , but only those who have "bell-clapper deformity" a condition which is needed to get a torsion, and 12% of assymptomatic people have this condition.
