Hi,
Herpes type I is by far super common, around 67% of the globes population have HSV1. There is no need to feel the way you feel, usually HSV1 does not cause outbreaks in the genitals.
Leave all negative thoughts in the past and work on the now, HSV1 is not a mortal virus, it is by far very innocuous to an extent.

hey, going off the numbers, i'd say you probably have hsv1 genitally and are negative for hsv2 but that's IF this is around 9-12 weeks after possible exposure. if not i'd get the hsv2 retested when that date comes up.
I recommend checking out the subreddit r/herpes though. everyone on there is super supportive and there are a lot of good tips for managing the condition. it's not the end of the world and you are worthy of life. there are people out there that will love you regardless of your diagnosis because it. does. not. define. you.
