Recently told I may have Ménière's disease of right ear. Any medications or surgery has helped for you?? Symptoms are constant dizziness(at times have sensation of falling or floating when really bad), lightheadeness, very unbalanced, foggy headed, at times ear pressure and constant headaches. I need help.. All started after bad sinus cold in mid last September and hit me really hard a few days after cold and has never left. The only time I had relief and felt 100% percent was when they gave me antibiotics and prednisone. Plz respond

I also had problems after having a sinus infection. Mine all started in March 2012. I was 2 month post partum and thankfully my mom was around to help take care of my little girl. To this day I still have problems, especailly in stores and I completely understand the floating feeling. I get what I called feeling like I'm in a dream or that things are not real. I hate that feeling. It's very scary. I'm having trouble driving but I've been trying to get back into it and hopefully my brain will work better with my ears and I can compensate. I really miss driving and independence. I was told I have vestibular neuritis, migraine associated vertigo and vestibular hypofunction. I just know that something is still not right. You might want to look into vestibular rehabilitation therapy. That seemed to help me some last year. I am hoping you get better.

I also have been told this and am presently feeling pretty low.
I am leaving work next week as it is getting too hard to drive the hour there and back.
I have been reading these blogs and looking on various websites.
Conclusion is:
Back to basic cooking and reading labels on food to lower your salt intake.
Getting away from all the chemicals they use.
Finding a good vestibular rehab physio and discipline yourself to do every day!
Research all the medication you may be on as some irritate the tinnitus in your ears.Doctors are quick to give you medication but don't check if it's right for you.
I am going to buy a hiking stick to get out there and do a lot of walking.
I won't buy a walking stick as that makes me feel disabled, even though technically I am.Thats just me!
I am going to check out a support group in my area so you can learn from them, just as we are doing here.
Its going to be a long hard road, there is no easy fix.
Good luck with it all.

My symptoms first appeared nearly 12 mths ago.I noticed I was a little unsteady and kept veering to the left.
It was a few has later I woke up feeling sick and threw up when I moved.
I took it as vertigo and thought it would pass. it didn't , and got worse. I couldn't look at the horizon as it wouldn't keep still. I had motion sickness all the time.
i went to a chiropractor who said I had a block of concrete for a kneck.
So for a while I thought I had damaged the nerves in my kneck.
it certainly improved but didn't go away. that was 7 months ago.
I went to a physio to correct my posture, got my work station accessed.
Eventually got to ENT specialist, balance tests. Now he wants me to go to a neurologist. Can't get in until Oct. That's why at present I am taking care of myself.
