testicle lump

ive just been in hospital for 7 days with uti and a virus,,had catheter inserted to enable me to pee,,,ive been discharched catheter has been removed,,now ive had dull  pain in right side of groin,,and in bath tonight ive felt a small bumpy lump in my right testicle,,im very scared about this,,i cannot afford to be off work at all or i will lose my flat,,what can i do...

    Lumps and swellings in the testicles are a relatively common symptom in boys and men, and can have a number of different causes.

    The vast majority of testicular lumps and swellings are caused by benign (non-cancerous) conditions that may not need treatment. But it's a good idea to see your GP if you notice any changes in your testicles so they can try to identify the cause.

    Get it checked tomorrow. If testicular cancer and caught early almost 100% treatable.

    Its probably due to the infection somehow, have an ultrasound done.

    I had similar problem 4 yeares ago. Varicocele, enlarged veins in left of scrotum. Had surgery but my left grape is still very tender. I felt embarassed a middle aged man in a pinstriped suit on his knees feeling my bagpipes. (Urologist)
