Testicle Removal?

Has anyone had their testicle removed? If so could you tell me about the experience? Why was it removed and how was the recovery and your life (especially sex life ) afterwards?

I have severe epididimytis in my left testicle and am faced with having it removed because of the constant pain. Thank you.

Hi mate, I found your thread.

I have ask my urologist to remove my right testicle, he said no, said its the last resort and something they rather not do. My GP tells me some men need to take medication for the rest of their lives to replace their testosterone levels, bones go weak and all sorts of other problems, scared the hell out of me he did.

I ask him what am I meant to do then? he didn't answer.

I have had aching and pain in my right testicle for 12 years now, and all the medical team do is throw medication at me, which don't work anyway and give terrible side effects.

What are we meant to do with this testicle pain, its like a living hell?

I only no of one person who had their testicles removed and that was on the forum of xxy or Klinefelter's syndrome. Usually both our testicles are non functioning or atrophied which produces little or no testosterone.

xxyguy --in that forum, had both of his testicles removed so he would be able to to explain how he handled it. He also had artificial testicles put in

At least you have one testicle that produces testosterone.
