Testicles Problem Maybe ????

Hello all.
Most of you know me. I have been on here for over 4 years.
I notice something this morning after my bath. I'm 63. Have any of you guy notice if your testicles are smaller as you got older.
I have been checking my self after my bath since I was 16. Was told this by my family doctor at the time. This morning they seam to feel smaller. Especially the right one. My testicles were never large but normal size. Now the right one feel like a chocolate foil egg. ( You know the ones you can get at Easter )
I did a lot of research this morning and some of the articles say yes some say no so who do you believe ?
Medications can have a change on your body and also if your estrogen and testosterone levels are low. I know that my level were good 2 month's ago when I was at my doctor. I know my testosterone level is at 400 which my doctor said was good for my age. Have not had any problem with libido and you know the morning stuff.
I also read that a mans testicles can also change size because of your diet. That I have never read before.
I have been deal with a UTI for the last 3 month's been on 3 different antibiotic have 49 more pills to take. ( This last medication is for 90 days ) I'm reading up on them again to see if they could have anything to do with it.
I have all ready sent a e-mail to my doctor this morning to see what he has to say.
Thank you all for reading this and good health to all.....God Bless....Ken

I think it is normal due to lower levels of testosterone that slowly decrease with age. The meds to shrink prostate may due the same, as it also lowers testosterone. Finasteride for example.

Hello GG
Yes I do know that but my levels are fine. Not on any medications to shrink the prostate. My testosterone level is 400. I do wake up with erections.
Thank you....Ken

Are you taking D-Mannose to help with the UTI? If not, you really should give it a try. You can purchase it at any health food store or on Amazon. PM me if you are interested in the specific brand that I use.

Hi Ken:
After my last UTI in Oct/Nov 2018 I started taking D-Mannose everyday. Since then I have not had a UTI, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is due to the D-Mannose. Still, if I believed that a UTI is starting, I would take the highest recommended dose on the bottle label. I currently take a lower daily dose while not having a UTI but would immediately take the higher dose if I suspect a UTI (I wouldn't wait for a confirmation of a UTI from a Dr before starting the higher dose - however, I would definitely see a Dr if it really seems like I have a UTI). While I've read that many people clear up UTIs on D-Mannose alone, I would still take both D-Mannose and antibiotics if I actually had a confirmed UTI. You might want to do some research, but I'm pretty sure I read that D-Mannose will not negatively impact those with diabetes - but please confirm this for yourself.
In addition, I periodically test my urine with urine strips as they can indicate that a UTI might be present. If UTIs are becoming a problem for you, you might want to take this step. On eBay (not Amazon) you can purchase urine dipsticks from Siemens for about $20 for 100 strips. The exact brand is Siemens Multistix 10SG. I strongly advise you not to purchase the cheaper brands on Amazon, because the quality control is poor.
Also, I assume you are taking probiotics while taking antibiotics. If not, you really need to consider doing this. There's a lot of information out on the web about this.
Finally, most UTIs are caused by e-Coli, which for humans almost always comes from feces. So you might want to be aware of your own hygiene as well as potential contamination during sex.
Best of luck.

Hey Buddy.
Yes I did look into that. I can get it at the health food store by me and I also saw it on Amazon. AI will get some when I get my check on the 3rd.
My UTI is bacterial. That was confirmed my my GP in February and my Urologist in April. My hygiene is good. I take a bath every day sometimes 2 if I am going out. Been like that all my life.
Thank you will let you know how it goes. Ken

Two or three times a day?! I assume that doesn't include the nighttime while you are sleeping. I hope others chime in on this, but it sounds like you might potentially be dehydrated or close to it. The dark gold color is an indication that you might be dehydrated or close to it. Have you discussed this with your urologist?
Have you ever recorded the amount of liquid you take in and the amount that you urinate? If I were you I would discuss this with my urologist. I know you take some medications, but 2 or 3 times a day seems awfully low. My research indicates that urinating 6 to 8 times per 24 hour period is typically normal assuming that one is getting an adequate amount of liquid, which I believer is at least 1.5 L/day (however, I've seen differing amounts on what is adequate).

Good evening
I have read about that and have kept my urologist informed. ( I was concerned about that also ) I drink all day 5 or 6 12 oz container. It is a stainless steal cup I got for Christmas. Water and juice.
I have trouble sleeping my days and nights are messed up. I only sleep 3 or 4 hours a day. I do sometime get woke up to go but 2 or 3 times is about it. I know that when this UTI started I did go to the bathroom more often.
I do try to keep a eye on my kidneys because I have a defected one that is only 3/4 of it size and sits on my bladder. I was told by a urologist 15 years ago to watch it. So right now it's working.
Thank you...ken

Hi Kenneth
D- mannose looks promising.
You could also try Hiprex for UTIs.
It suppresses or eliminates urinary tract bacteria and can be taken long or short term unlike antibiotics.
This is an over counter pharmacy medicine here in Australia but cheaper when prescribed.
It is widely prescribed for women by urologists and works well (see reviews on internet)
I was getting UTIs a couple of times a month with my CIC but now I start Hiprex at the first sign of a UTI -2 a day for ten days then stop, or if unsure whether its gone, keep going another 10 days at 1 per day. Take with 1000 mg of Vit C to make it more effective.
You can also take it continuously if you want.
This routine has kept me clear for 4 months.

Ken:
Do some research on methenamine( Hiprex, Mandelamine, Urex). WebMD says that it is an antibiotic typically given to treat or prevent recurring bladder infections. It also says that it is usually given after other medicines have been tried without success. Unlike Australia, it appears to only be available by prescription in the USA. Web MD also says:
"To reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of HIPREX (methenamine hippurate tablets USP) and other antibacterial drugs, HIPREX should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria."
I'm just noting that there appears to be a difference in its recommended use in the USA when compared with Australia. Sounds like you will need to discuss it with your doctor due to the prescription requirement.
Cheers.

Hi again Kenneth
Let us know how you go with the Hiprex if you try it.
Out of interest my Sister put me onto it - She had chronic UTIs for over a year and Antibiotics only gave her relief for a week or so.
She was told about Hiprex by her Gynaecologist.
She took 2 a day for six months without another UTI and stopped taking it and has been waiting to see if she gets another infection and will start again if necessary.
The internet reviews are full of similar results.

Good Morning
Thank you for letting me know about Hiprex I will let you know. I'm doing more research on it.
Right now I am trying a product called Ultra Silver. A friend that I made on here a few years ago sent me some because it helped him. So I am on the second day. We will see.
I have already told my doctor that I will not take this last antibiotics any more then 1 time at 90 days ( Macrobid 100 mg ) It can cause heart and lung problem. I do not need any more problem with my heart.
I have a blockage on one side and a stent on the other. And by A-Fib may be back. We will see. I have a new doctor I have to see about that.
We sure have a lot of fun when we grow old .
Have a nice day and God Bless......Ken
