Testicular, Flank and Lower Back Pain for 7 Months

Hi,

I started getting a pulling pain going from my left testicle to my abdomen back in February and since then the pain has spread to my right testicle, lower back, flank and perineum. The pain in my back is feels muscular and extremely uncomfortable along with the testicular pain. At times it almost feels as though their is something at my perineum and can make it difficult even to put my knees together while others days that area will be fine. My right testicle is quite sensitive to touch. I've also noticed that after ejaculating if I touch my penis it directly causes a pins and needles feeling going down my right leg.

I've been to two GP's, gotten blood tests, an ultrasound and an MRI. An MRI scan showed that my back had degenerative changes to my L5/S1 disc which has been known to cause some of these symptoms however after visiting a physio and doing stretches for 1 month he believes that it is not what is causing these issues.

I've most recently gone to a urologist who was able to provide my with an ultrasound. He noted that my epididymis appear to be slightly swollen and he seems pretty convinced that my problems may be related to chronic pelvic pain. I have been prescribed levofloxacin to deal with this problem for 45 days. I'm currently on day 13 of taking the antibiotics but have not gotten any relief whatsoever although it may be too early to tell. The uroligist also recommended getting a urine culture test to determine whether or not this is a bacterial infection and I'll be going for a check up tomorrow morning.

I was wondering if anyone here has had similar symptoms and if so how they got over them? It's been 7 months now and I have had no relief. I'm currently trying to write a thesis for college while working Monday to Friday 9 to 5 and this has been a severe distraction as the pain and uncomfortableness is constant.

Thanks!

Just to add as well. At times when walking I've been getting a winded feeling like I've been hit in the stomach.

Hi Joesummer.  I'm on my 10th month with no luck whatsover.  My case is very similar to your indeed.  Several Mris, ultrasounds, ctscans, several rounds of antibiotics, 4 urologists, 2 ortho docs, 3 pain specialists.  It wasn't until last week when I started robbing my leg with vaseline because it was hurting.  To my surprise, the pressure on my right testicle was significally reduced.  I called my doctor and they scheduled me for a nerve test.  I fell on my tail bone two years ago while walking in the snow.  My doctor believes that maybe I might have a pinched nerve somewhere.  No MRI has deceted this so Im not sure if a nerve test will show something.  I will keep you updated.  For now, hang in there don't give up and start thinking outside the box.  Think hard if you ever fell or something that might've caused an issue with a nerve?

Thanks a lot for the reply! Went to a urologist/gp today and he seems to think that I may have chronic pelvic pain that is causing this. Hopefully this will be sorted soon but the doctor advised that this can sometimes take a long time to fix as not much is known about chronic pelvic pain. I'll also keep you updated as I go!
