Testicular Pain

Hello everyone,

A couple of years ago i randomly got an excruciating pain in my left testicle, like i'd been kicked in the balls continuously and had that horrible achy feeling.

I called 111 and they recommended I went to A&E to get it checked. When I got there they thought I might of had fluid caught in my epididymis and that was causing the pain. They also sent me for an ultrasound scan to check it wasn't anything more serious, the scan didn't show anything out of the ordinary.

Then about a year ago I had the pains again, and felt what I thought was a lump on the end of my testicle. So I went to my doctors and they sent me for another ultrasound. Again, there was nothing out of the ordinary! I'm so frustrated because I don't know why i'm getting these pains!

However, I've recently been diagnosed with IBS and I've read on a few health forums that IBS and constipation etc, can cause testicular pain because the nerves in the anus and scrotum are very close together? 

Does anyone else experience the pains???

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi Cailen - yes I had the exact same problem and it was caused by my constipation. I started taking Magnesium Oxide tablets (250mg) twice a day and that cleared up my constipation and my left testicular pain. Good luck. Howard
