Testicular pain and Low Testosterone

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi my son 25yrs has had shooting pain in right groin to testicle for past few years slowly becoming worse, over past few months he noticed his tesicles were getting smaller, so he went back to the Doctor (previously diagnosed with groin strain) who sent him for blood tests.

His testosterone level came back very low and liver function abnormal. He has been referred to an Endocrinologist. They think he has had trauma to his testicles at some stage which has stopped the production of testosterone. (Waiting for a scan)

Has anyone else had a similar experience? Would be interested to know the treatment options etc

Thanks

    Hi Jane

I would have thought if your son had suffered trauma to his testicles it is something he would not have forgotten about and would have sought hospital treatment for,

Some men have low testosterone levels so maybe he always had low testosterone,

I would go and see a private specialist, it may cost a few hundred quid but it may point you in the right direction.

    Good luck

Thanks for your reply, agree... other than the usual kick in testicles at school we both cannot recall trauma.

I think the GP just guessing due to coincidental testicle pain.

He has specialist appt and scan soon so will wait and see.

      Once again thanks.
