I was referred to a pelvic floor specialist this summer, by my urologist, who was able to conduct several muscle function tests, work on stretches etc. They did not see anything abnormal in terms of muscle function but they had to rule out non-surgical approaches first.

Now finding a pelvic floor specialist was very hard!! First, there are very few that specialize in pelvic pain and those that do, only work with women. And if you do find one, there is a long wait list.

Doesn't hurt to at least try it. Everyone is different.

There are several books out there on pelvic pain..interesting and complex how it all works together.
