Thank you

I have been doing exercise but one time a day. It seems like that’s all I can handle. Being 70 and overweight does not help the problem. I will call Doc on Monday as per Chico’s advise. I will continue to do the workout but I do think calling Doc is a good idea. Thank you for the replies, it really helps to know I can reach out😘

I think its cheating but the physio is ok with me doing it.

Hope you did not take it wrong. I have not been able to do a straight leg raise for quite awhile I can do the others but not that one, the exercise I mentioned is so simple and as many times as I have been to PT I cannot do it. It is supposed to help with your quads. The most I get is maybe 2" maybe and that is giving it my best. Some exercises are easy some are really hard.

Good Luck Arlene! I found I have gained a little weight during recovery and decided along with exercise to do a program called weight watchers which is helping. I know keeping less weight is suppose to help also.
So much to do to recover. But wishing you well. Hope doctor can help you and at the least reassure you it's just a normal part of your healing.

I'm 70 but lost 57 pounds in 11 months...and it has REALLY helped. 247 down to 185... Believe me...carrying the extra weight is hard on the knees and the lower back. Plus your heart will be better off too. Consider changing your diet and getting the exercise you need to strengthen the leg muscles. It should come off a bit at a time over the course of a year...you will be so happy that you did that.
