Thank you Matron

This isn't really a discussion it is big thank you to Matron. She recently gave me some advice on when I would know if I have over done it and she was spot on. So THANKYOU MATRON. Unfortunately aching feeling only comes on after you have overdone it , but at least aimed with that info the moment I feel it I have a floppy day as one of the lovely ladies on this forum put ir. Flop infront of TV in horizontal position and rest up. It is so hard to read your body and it's signs of recovery. You are feeling heaps better so you start back to nromal duties and then next day you ache and I mean really ache down there.

As I am due back at work next week full time from Tuesday, I thought yesterday I would go into work to check how well they had been coping without me and my waiting workload etc. It wasn't a paid day just a visit. I was apaulled by what I saw and lost my temper and just started tiding and cleaning - no one had done it for 7 weeks. The vacuum cleaner actually died under the weight of the dust after just 15 minutes - one of the last things I attempted to do.. probably a god send as it was then I noticed ache start. So just check my watch - I had been there 5 hrs! So I told my boss who had taken advantage of me being there to just pop out etc how I had over done it and that it was his fault and that I would only be coming back for half days until I could cope and the state of the factory/ office wasn't helping. I slept 10 hrs straight and today the area still aches infact so does my bottom when I sit , so icepack and floppy time. Seeing my specialist on Tuesday and going to ask for cert for graduated return to work as just didn't realise how exhausting it would be to go back full time. xx

Hi Welsgirl, That is so kind of you. I have leant the hard way not to overdo it and being assertive has certainly seemed to have made my boss sit up and listen. Let's just hope he keeps listening till I am fully recovered. Isn't your op soon or have you already had it? Good luck either way. Will be thinking of you and wishing you every sucess. Make sure you take extra care too and remember REST, REST, REST xxx
