Thanks for inviting me at the Chertsey Meeting

Really nice to see so many fellow sufferers at the Chertsey meeting and I enjoyed meeting some of you.  Great to meet Ragnor and Shirley and Eileen and Mrs O.  Really positive, cheery, helpful bunch!

Thanks for being so welcoming.

Stella, the meetings are not filmed. We do get written up meeting notes afterwards, but they are for the members of the support group only.

Ok. But fantastic that you were able to get there. Sounds like you had a great time. Things like that really lift the spirit.

    Hi Michele

    Good to meet you there.

Wasn't it a great meeting! I'm so glad I made it.

Mrs O and Shirley is actually just one person! 😃

"Mrs O and Shirley is actually just one person!"

I do sometimes wonder about that, Susanne - could do with there being two of me on occasion!lol

Wonderful to see you yesterday in spite of all that you are going through with GCA - you're a real fighter and deserve a smooth run from now onwards.  I have everything crossed for you now that you are off the DMARD.

Nothing like a Support Group and you can find out where they are by clicking on the map of the UK on the home page of pmr gca northeast.

Also on U tube if  you type on pmr gca northeast support group you can see a film of a support group meeting.

oops, northeast should be ne  - so pmr gca ne support.

I wouldn't mind for one minute being you - it would mean I was younger....and more sparkley!

Yes, they are a very very good set of people and you were fortunate to be at the meeting with Eileen and Ragnar.

Shirley is my Twin (sort of) both GCA same time, remission same time.

Shirley runs Surrey, I am in the North.

Next time, you might think of extending the invitation to some of us over the pond. We're very fond of the UK, you know

There are support group meetings all over the UK, If you go to PMR&GCA North East there is a map, click on it and hey presto.

Visitors are always welcomed to a meeting, especially from overseas.

Ragnar was our first visitor and Hans from the Marjike Foundation Netherlands, was our second and he also spoke at the launch of the DVD 'You are not alone' and at the Rheumatologists meeting which followed on.  And  Eileen also turned up that day as she was visiting the UK and we have become very close friends.

I met Ragnar on a Canadian site over 9 years ago and when we set up the charity, and when Ragnar was making a visit to Scotland, he came down to the North East especially for the meeting.

So the open invite is not only to people in the UK, over the pond, but everywhere in the world.  Just check out the dates and location.

So although GCA came along, it did bring benefits with it.
