Thd and mucopexy procedure

7 days post op from a thd, mucopexy and Ella rectum.... and to be honest after having 2 children naturally I would never ever have thought pain would get worse than that.......BUT IT DID!!! saw surgeon half hour before surgery... didn't explain anything just we will decide when we are in theatre... so had an enema... went to the loo not so long after. Then got took into surgery. Woke up 50 minutes later in the most discomfort ever...... got back to the room I sat there for 15 minutes and decided to make myself more comfortable got dressed into my own clothes and go for a wee... couldn't go!!!! Went back to bed and was offered a drink and food. Done.... discharged 3 hours later with antibiotics, paracetamol and ibuprofen. Went home and basically went to sleep. Woke up a couple times during the evening.... eventually went to bed properly about 9pm.... WOKE UP AT 1.30AM IN ABSOLUTE AGONY.... when I say agony I mean on the floor crying for 2 hours.... read the day after about a plug they place inside.... OH... HAD NO IDEA!!! WAS NOT TOLD ABOUT THAT!!!!!!! Over the next few days staggering my painkillers and the use of a hot water bottle became my only resolution... I was crying everyday for the first 4 days then just servere discomfort... HAD first proper bm on day 5.... new type of pain near the base of my spine for 2 days.... now day 7 basically no pain but just had a bm with blood (and not just spots) had read on another forum about blood loss between days 7-14 that they were told from there surgeons but not too sure as I was not told about this detail myself.... i did not see my surgeon after my surgery just discharged and he will see u in 3 months.... very disappointed with the lack of information and post op care I was given

Hope others have had better experiences !!!

Glad ur surgery went really well. Went to docs last night as I was concerned about bleeding... Doc told me from day 7 to day 20 it's normal to lose an egg cup amount each day any longer than that then get it checked xxx

6 weeks post op.... progress went very well until last week. Now have new hemorroid and slight prolapse is back... due yo see surgeon in another 6 weeks but to be honest I don't see much point as he will just offer another surgery to which I now don't want or see the point of... I followed what the doctor said to me at my last appt and have now gone back to new and more pain... bowel function has now picked up but still more pain than I was in before surgery... way of life now more difficult ... hope everyone else has had better experiences xx

There's no point he will just offer the same op. And I'm not willing on putting myself through that again just to get new and bigger ones than before. To be honest the surgeon doesn't listen and he doesn't tell what's needed is rather suffer with what he's left me with instead of any worse 😔
