I had THD surgery for my piles three weeks ago and am in more pain now than at any other time.

I am still passing a lot of blood at night and during movements. I also have some external piles that are still quite prominent.

Is this normal and if so when can I expect to see some relief. If it is not normal should I seek my

hi, I'm in exactly the same situation! i just passed my 3 weeks from my THD surgery and i'm still quite in pain on the right side of the anus, passing quite a lot of blood and having external piles. i went to see my Dr. yesterday and he put me in sleep & checked the wound, but he said everything is healing nicely, and nothing to be worried about. i asked him why it's still painful & bleeding, he said it still comes from actual surgery. It's still swelling a lot and bleeding comes from internal swelling because it's like a balloon 😦 He said it will shrink but takes time. Did your stitching fell off? Mine was hanging there for a week and he removed it during follow up, i feel much better!! He recommended me to insert aloe vela gel 3 times / day to improve healing. i'll see if it gets any better. however if you're worried i would recommend you to visit your doctor for follow up 😃
