I just had to share this one:

[i:894e5f2bb5]I have been complaining for the past few years that my brain seems stuck in second gear some days. This morning I read on the British Columbia Arthritis website that \"brain fog\" as it is called, is one of the side effects of prednisone! Now I can blame my silliness on the pred! And I thought it was old age!

Spent a frustrating ten mins yesterday fighting to free a screw stuck in a new drawer knob. Didn't want to damage knob so held it in a duster with

pincers and tried to free screw with screw driver. Didnt work as it kept slipping. Clever clogs partner came along, turned it round, held the SCREW with pincers and effortlessly tuned shiny knob with fingers!!

Yes, I know all about brain fog. Please feel free to laugh.

Brain Fog? Could that account for the fact that I have just wrapped all my daughter's Christmas presents in birthday paper :gift: I've just wished her a Happy Birthmas  Brain Fog has always been number one on my list. I actually refer to it as Treacle Brain, same as fog, just a bit thicker. :snowman:

An irish doctor had Irish Paddy as a patient. Paddy was a bit hypocondriac (spelling ? ) Went to poor doctor for all sorts of things....One day, doctor dies. He wakes up in his box, and thinks how happy he is. No more Paddy to bother him. One day (or night ?) doctor hear some knoking at his coffin....He asks : Who is there ? Answer : It's me doctor, Paddy...I think I got worms....It made me laugh....but I do hope I do not upset anyone...not before Christmas....This was told me by my Irish friend who lives down our road......Cheers....Granny Moss.

    Hi Granny Moss,

Well, I'm Irish and I got a great laugh from that

As for the brain fog...I once brought a pound of raw chicken livers to work and left my new pair of tights in the fridge  ......and that was years ago before I got PMR

Woke up to yet more snow here, but at least we are not getting it as badly as the UK....I don't think I ever recall Heathrow being closed by snow before.

    Keep warm everyone, Love, Pauline.

Brain fog.......oh yes, most of the time, but what's beginning to worry me are the 'Blank Spots' - I 'come to' to find myself standing in a daze and haven't a clue as to where I am going or what for.

Oddly enough it seems to happen only when I am standing up!

    Um........could it be No.84, Mrs. K?

Oh dear Nefret, I thought standing in a daze not having a clue as to where I am going or what I am doing was normal! Now I'm worried. I've been told that if you know you're getting forgetful and having blank moments then there's nothing to worry about smile

Take care Nefret, I think you're in good company.
