Sounds rather like enthesitis or plantar fascitis . . does it go away after a short time? Not an expert on fibrymyalgia, although I am diagnosed as having it, but I don't suffer anything like most people on this forum, so I really do wonder about the diagnosis. . .

Do the soles of your feet burn, expecially your heels?  This could be plantar fasciitis.  It can be excrutiatingly painful.  I had it for years.  Freeze a water bottle and put it under your feet and roll it back and forth.  You can also use a tennis ball or golf ball to do this.  A stretch I like to do is stand on the stairs with just your toes on the edge.  Hang off of the stair and feel the stretch up your calves.  You can also do the runners stretch to relieve the tightness in your calves.  If you don't get relief from any of this cortisone shots do help.  I've had many and they are such a relief.  My GP is an expert at finding the right spot to pinpoint the pain but a podiatrist will probably be the course of treatment you will need.  Good luck.  I hope one of these remedies work for you!

    Hi Liz,

I too have this in both my feet and it is incredibly painful. I have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. I have soft insoles from orthotics to cushion my heels when I walk and exercises to stretch my feet and calves. You need to see your gp who will probably refer you to a physiotherapist so you can get the correct long term treatment.

    Good luck xx

Hi Liz23617 All last week my feet underneath were very painful and sore, it hurt to walk on them. It lasted all week then went off. I put mine down to fibro with it going off like it has. But its worth you having a chat to your gp see what they say. Im not bothering to see my gp about it as all I get is its down to fibro? sick of hearing that.take care

      Hi Kaz,

You would probably find that you too have had a bout of fasciitis, as it often occurs after periods of to much or to little exercise. Given that you have been in bed for a while with everything you had its quite classic. Hopefully it's a one off episode for you, but, if you did get another bout of it then it is worth seeing your gp.

Glad it sorted itself out for you. Take care and gentle hugs xx
