The effects of sound on trigeminal neuralgia

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hi I'm new to the group. I am finding when my TN is unsettled sounds can increase the pain. I was sat outside and my neighbour  was using his electric saw and each time he used it my pain got worse so I had to go inside for some relieve. I also find the cold has an effect.

What effects you?

Talking on a cell phone aggravates my condition. I have to hold the phone away from my face or use Bluetooth .

    Hi Christine

sounds really bother me, my husband put a glass cup on a glass table and the sound made my face so painful.  THe other sounds are talking on phones, yet not the ringing of the phone, plane noises, boat noises etc.  I sometimes use earplugs.

Hi Cindy and bill thanks for the replies. It seems I'm lucky with the sounds that cause me a problem, at least I can get away from it. The cold isn't so easy to avoided though.
