Is there any 'updated' site that has evidence of Fibromyalgia being recognised as a severe disability when claiming or appealing against refusal for P.I.P. ?

Hi,
No, i'm afraid not. PIP isn't about a diagnosis, it's how your conditions affect your ability to carry out daily activities based on the PIP descriptors. Lots of people claim PIP because of the way they're affect daily by fibro, including myself. You need to prove how your conditions affect you against the PIP descriptors and this is the only way to be awarded PIP.

Hi i have 23 diagnosed illnesses/diseases and about 18 of them have very little impact on my PIP claim because most of the time they have no real effect on my daily living, yes they can cause some problems but not every day thankfully and not continually.
My other 5 have a massive impact on every part of my life making it impossible to live from day to day without help and a good pain management system.
As Denise has pointed out, PIP is so different to DLA that we advise people to forget it and concentrate on the criteria that makes PIP the benefit it.is.
Some people have fibro but live a full life and dont claim any benefits, others struggle every day and do but theirs no right or wrong way to live your life and theirs definitely not a site to tell you the right answers to claim PIP with, it a really individual benefit per person.
