The Government Electricity Rebate - Are You Entitled?
Posted , 3 users are following.
Hi All,
This is one of many schemes and resource tips, you may or may not know about.
By this time, you should have received a £12 rebate from your Electricity Supplier. It is paid annually to all domestic customers* (*please read Eligibility on the linked post).
The way this is applied to your account depends on how you pay for your Electric.
By Direct Debit: You should have receive this rebate on a quartley bill.
By Key Meter or PAYG: You will receive it via a voucher from your supplier.
Some outlets will let you split this £12 over Gas and Electric, others will only do Electric.
I posted more details about this payment Under Useful Resources in Benefits, a link to the actual post is below.

I will be posting more money saving tips - many of them go unclaimed and end up back in the Governments pockets. All my resource posts will be in the Benefits Section and Pinned, so they are easy to find.
But I will always post a notification in the Chatroom, so more people know and are notified as soon as they become available.
Please do not post messages on the Benefits & Resources thread which Alan kindly 'Pinned' for us to use for adding additional schemes which are rarely known by the public, disabled or sick. I will include all details, of these schemes which you will probably find you are eligible to claim, but never told about.
Awareness these days seems to become lost even these days of social networking, so that does not make sense.
SMART Meters I will be covering in another post - and ways to save money using these. All premises should be fitted with these by 2020, you do not need to ask your supplier for these, because they have already started rolling out across the country.
Regards,
Les.

Plenty more I have to type up yet. Mostly, energy based tips on saving money with suppliers.
How to get the best possible deals, by not swapping energy suppliers on your own. This is probably the best one because it can save you hundreds of pounds annually!
Why '*flagging' your property, can make you £70-£700 annually...
*flagging = means your property contains a person or couple, whom are disabled.
There are many others, on top - so I intend to make more people aware of these schemes. People I have told in PM's before now, did not know they even existed, let alone were eligible for them and received over £100+ because they applied.
What people are confused by is an Energy Supplier and a Distribution Networks, both of which can help the disabled or poor families. Being disabled does have the advantage of being on both lists, which is what I am going to explain.
Anyway, hope you're having a nice weekend!
Regards,
Les.
