Hello there, my menopausal sisters....

Have ANY of you lovely ladies experienced the following regarding your teeth and gums: Teeth pain, achy gums, teeth shifting, and my REAR gums feel as if an extra layer of skin has surfaced, on top of my normal-everyday gums.. WTH? When it comes to menopause, it continues to DUMBFOUND me often, I can NEVAA pinpoint it; simply because, it has a MIND of its own! The relentless hell of hormonal balance haunts me often.. 😥😥 Suffice it to say, I make it my beeswax to be healthy, eat well, and keep stress at bay as much as possible, yet, menopause lets me know, it is my worst nightmare! Contrary to popular belief, my symptoms DID NOT get better during this last stage of menopause, as a matter of fact, my symptoms seem to have gotten worse! That being said, if these symptoms have paid you all a visit, let me know, and let me know how you all were able to combat them. On that note, be well, my menopausal sistahs...

I concur, wholeheartedly.. Thanks for your response, I thought what I was experiencing is related to post-menopause and hormonal imbalance.

Hi Vivian, i too have so many dental issues, i finally had to stop going to dentist as i was getting work done for no apparent reason, i now chalk everything up to post menopause so if something else was ever going on health wise i would totally ignore it i think that is what is so scary. you are right menopause does have a life of its own. I am glad that i am past the worse parts at the moment but who knows what the future holds fingers crossed

      Hey, Corrine...

Yes! The teeth issues come and go! So, I, too, chalked it up to menopause, the DREADED menopause, might I add.

Maybe have your dentist or oral maxillofacial surgeon check for teeth grinding (they'd need to do an xray for that). You may well be clenching or grinding unknowingly, which would show up with these symptoms and possibly headaches and ear ailments as well. Check -- are your teeth touching when you're not eating? Did you know they shouldn't be touching? Yeah. Hang in there!

      Hey, Cat..

Thanks for your concern, its ALL hormonal related. I will be seeing a dentist in roughly two months, and I will ask him questions, he will be DRILLED... pun intended!
