The journey of hell and back and somewhere between

I started nearly 5 months ago on 50mg of sert I improved but dropped when my partner returned to work they then put me on 75mg and then 100mg at 100mg I had a few good days in a row smile but anxiety hit again with low mood crying. 125mg no difference made. Now day two of my second try of 150mg and I'm so tired I can barely move I just wanna lay here all day but iv three children. I feel so anxious it's like my brain is searching for the anxious feeling all the time. Should this settle? I'm yawning all the time. I see a p doctor so I have to trust them. They keep me on the med as I had them few good days so they say it must be working . My anxiety is crippling iv no life left.

I really feel for you, it's an awful thing to go through. It could be the meds are too high. Although depression and anxiety can make you just want to curl up on the settee and sleep, it's worth a visit to your GP.

I've completely stopped them now after a hellish time with with withdrawal symptoms! I never, ever want to feel like that again, but at the same time, they served me well, but I'm so relieved I don't take Sertraline (or any meds) any more.

Are you taking the same brand? I couldn't believe how the same drug from different companys could differ so much. I could only take Lustral. Any other brand made me so ill. I just couldn't function properly. It took a little while to make the connection, but as soon as I went back on Lustral, I felt so much better!

Don't forget too, it does take a while for the drugs to work. Can take a number of weeks, so just hang in there or speak to GP for advice.

I can relate to the yawning too!!! I felt it was the only way to get a good breath of air in! This is another symptom (of many!!) anxiety will throw at us! The more you think about yawning, the more you do it. I could have a conversation with my Mum or friends for an hour and not yawn once, but as soon as I put the phone down, I started again!

I do hope you feel better soon, it's not a nice place to be, but hopefully you have support around you and can start enjoying life again. It does get better, honest!!!!

    Take Care x

Thank you. I feel so spaced out and half asleep. I asked about brands but they (mental health team) say it makes no difference. At 100mg I had a rallyr normal week so something went wrong after that. I feel very flat but I do feel ok ish in the evening when the day is settled x

I take Prozac 5 mg and have been taking it for 5 months. I didn't think it was working at first and didn't see an improvement till month 4. I still randomly have bad/anxiety/depressed/crying days but the good are beginning to out number the bad. I wonder if they are changing your dosage to frequently and not giving it time to level out. Best wishes it's an awful disease to have.

I cut from 200 to 150 a couple of weeks ago, dreams, my head litterally it like fog, I cannot sleep, my family are concerned and living from day to day, I dont even know if they ever helped me, apart from making me vague and non responsive. It was only when I was in a right mess and a nurse said, you have been on this stuff to long. I am just trying to push on, I cant smile, pains like back pain seem to be more present but experence tells me its because I feel low. Dreams have eased a bit, how on earth to I make the decision to drop to 100 if its gonna make me feel worse,
