The Joys of Prednisolone

OH, diagnosed PMR/GCA mid June and 7 next month, is really pleased with the painfree range of movementin neck and shoulders as it makes serious driving and biking so much more pleasant. Although he had a few years without a bike he's not a "born again biker" but a biker through and through ( a motor mechanic who didn't take his test in a car until he was 40).

He's slowly reducing the pred and now on 25mg daily. Yesterday was bright and sunny so he di a 100 mile round ride on his Buell Firebolt.

Photo taken about halfway round.

      He really enjoyed that ride.

Chilli and curry still being fortified by the addition of hot pepper sauce.

Lovely bike. Glad to here it for pred. I know it has its downsides but I remember the wonder of being pain free! Best wishes to you both, he is lucky to have you for his wife.

Where's that? Looks like the stopping place on the A1 just after the Scottish Border!

Sounds as if he's doing OK on his pred.

Nowhere near Scotland I'm afraid Eileen - it's on the more southerly section of the North Wales coast at Llanelgynin, A493 between Fairbourne and Tywyn (Meirionnydd)

No, I realised it probably wasn't since you are rather more than 100 miles from it. It's a stopping place I love on the way from Newcastle to Edinburgh - the view over the sea is lovely and totally uninterrupted
