The poor Queen!

i just had a thought! I think we should all spare a thought for Her Majesty! Can you imagine going through all this in full glare of the public spotlight? Imagine having to sit through countless boring functions, make stimulating small talk, smile, shake hands and be generally sunny and happy when you are feeling like ripping someone's face off? Sitting through an interminably long outdoor function in the blazing heat and then hoping like mad the back of your dress is "okay" when you stand up. Having to shake hands with thousands of over zealous people when aching joints just make you want to scream. Three cheers for the Queen, oh and on second thoughts, spare a thought for good old Phil as well.

She has been brought up to cope with all the pressures.
Sorry, but I'm coping on a really low income because of a disability that has no cure, and so cannot work as I used to.
My savings have all been spent on care and i will soon have to move out of my home through no fault of my own - I don't drink or smoke (never have) do drugs (never have) but still get no help unless I pay for it - because I look normal to the outside world.

This woman and her vast family literally have the world at her feet including medical care that most of us could never in a billion years access.
I've been in a meeting and bled through my trousers. And your basically saying that because it happens to us normal women it matters less! Shame on you

'Shame on you'........hardly. I think you're taking AusWinnie's comments totally out of context.
My take on this post is that any woman going through this cr*p, and especially one who sits on the World's stage, has AW's - and my! - sympathy. I don't think you have to be a staunce Royalist to extend your sympathy to a woman in her 90s who still works.....bloody hard!
And surely you don't expect any leader of a nation to have their general medical, obstetric and gynae needs met by the best health professionals available?
Put it this way: I know I couldn't and I doubt you could, do her job!!!
I hate to remid you, but mere plebs buy into a Private Health Scheme to access care over and above that which is offered on the NHS, and a lot of women on this site do too. Do you hold such contempt for them too? Afterall, like you they work, they also leak and they also have to go through this: its what most women do.
Its not like AW's sympathy was for the likes of Imelda Marcos, Winnie Mandela or dear ol' Robert Magabe's 'lovely' wife is it?!!
Not sure if you're from the UK? No-one says you have to 'like' the Royal Family at all. Many people don't. So don't run away thinking I'm a staunch Royalist: I'm not necessarily.
I am, however, very pleased to be British and to live in a country ruled by a Monarchy. I cannot imagine feeling the same towards Ronald Reagan, and the likes or Arnie S.....or even George Clooney, if you believe all you read!!
I'm not asking you to jon the UK's Royal Family Fan Club, but maybe see the AW's post for the point that she's making. That being that most women have a lot to deal with, regardless of status, and in the face of adversity, can get through, with/without the help of HRT through what is afterall, a rite of passage for the majority of women of 'age'.
Think your comments were unnecessarily harsh.
