i’ve had that feeling. The thing that helps to relax the heart rate is proper breathing. That’s the key. You can get on YouTube and find breathing exercises for anxiety or panic.

I do know that when I get similar sensations, the more I freak out about it the longer it stays and intensifies. So try to relax your mind as best you can.

did you say that you get lightheaded?

it may be stress and anxiety related. if it continues talk to your doctor about it and see what he or she recommends. maybe a visit to your doctor would reassure you.

    hi,

yes that is what i get everyday and its horrible aint it. I get a weird flutter sensation and followed by a rapid and hard heartbeat. I struggle with anxiety a lot and have recently changed my meds so i know my anxiety is heightened atm. I also get a weird flutter in my neck with them sometimes too but i keep trying to tell myself its my anxiety. The more anxious you are the more they can happen.

mine have been happening non stop for about 5 weeks and it comes out of nowhere. I can be doing anything and its kind of hard to explain but almost feels like a missed beat or spasm followed by a rapid heart rate. This sends my anxiety into overdrive and i can honestly be crippled by it for the rest of the day.

Hi annie. Im sorry you are feeling this way. Anxiety is debilitating. You feel like you are unwell but you are ok. I promise. You have a disorder of fear and your mind isnt able to switch of the flight or flight feelings. Try to keep busy. If you are struggling with a panic attack feeling try to slow your breathing down. Hope this helps.

Hi Annie. Those feelings are horrible and are truly debilitating. If you feel strong enough try to distract yourself. Divert your thoughts to something else. listen to and audio book or try drawing. anything to stop your mind overthinking
