My doctor always says it takes at least two weeks to see if an OAB medication is working for you. Now, I will say I was on too high of a dose and it was causing retention so I was peeing much more frequently since I wasn't emptying my bladder all the way. Perhaps this medication isn't working for you and causing retention. In that case, you'll have to stop the med. Even if you can't get in to the see the doctor for a few months, call his office and speak to a nurse to see if he'd be willing to change the medication if it's not working for you. There are several kinds to try; one might work better than another for you.

I was put on Tolterodine for OAB but the dose wasn't high enough, when doubled to twice a day, the OAB reduced and frequency/ urgency went back to near normal.  I was getting up 5-6 times per night and going up to 20 times per day before I started on the med.
