Hi everyone.
i had a breakdown in November and was off work for 5 months. ive had therapy from iapt as a result of this which is helping however i only have 2 sessions left and im still struggling with panic attacks and quite low mood. im on citalopram 40mg and propanol 40mg per day and without a doubt i am a lot better than i was however everyday is still a battle and the panic attacks are still frequent so i dont feel ready to leave therapy but there doesn't seem a lot of options. does anyone have any advice?
thank you

i’m so sorry that you are going through this and concerned about ending therapy.
Has your counselor talk to you about ways you can manage on your own on a daily basis? If not you could go ahead and ask that before you are done there.
you could also ask if your counselor is aware of any other therapy such as low cost therapy or even free therapy in the area that you live.
I know what anxiety and panic feel like and it’s not fun. every night when I’m laying down to sleep I turn on a very relaxing meditation for anxiety. I never get to the end of it because I fall asleep. There are hundreds of them on YouTube! I listen during the day also when I need to.
also during the day if you feel anxious or panicky, breathing properly is the key to settling down panic! check some of those out also!
I do hope you start to feel better soon. Feel free to private message me anytime!

Hello,
I am sorry to hear you are going through this. I would suggest stressing this to your therapist, -and see if they can offer you a couple more sessions with the same therapist, or give you some tips to manage on a daily basis, otherwise with some IAPT services they are free so you could refer yourself again. I know the waiting time can be long, but if you feel you need more help i really hope you can get it. Here if you want to chat more x

hi. well done for coming so far. anxiety and panic attacks are really tough. it's good that you can recognise how far you have come. is there a local support group online or in person that you could meet up with? have you got a good network of support around you. i found when i had my first attack 4 years ago that the advice and understanding from people on here helped immensely . i have just has a relapse of anxiety and panic and coming back in here is helpful already
