There has to be a cure to cold hives

I have cold hives for about three years now, it manifested when I was around 12 years old after I got the flu. Idk the cause of my hives, but they are not so severe that if I am in freezing temps, or cold water I won't pass out or anything. Having them has just p****d me off so much because I play baseball, so in HS this past year I had to pass because where I live it is 50 or below until May and baseball season starts in March, and I don't want hives all over my face and hands when I am with my peers which isn't just embarrassing, but also freaky. I have heard that 400mg of Quercetin twice a day can make reactions aprox 80% less reactive over 6 to 8 weeks. The website also said that it acts as a natural antihistamine and for me, Allegra has not worked one bit. I am fed up with them and I don't wanna miss another baseball season which may sound stupid but I really don't.
So does anyone have any experience with this and if you do I would appreciate a reply.
Thank you.

My nephew used to get rashes once in a while for a few years. This year he suddenly started getting them everyday starting in march. I thought it was because we switched from Q dryl to benedryl. CHOC Children Immunology and Allergies Specialist put him on Zyrtec saying it is safer. Zyrtec does work but I have read about terrible withdrawal symptoms and ear problems. My nephew did complain about his ear feeling stuffed. I also read that Zyrtec eventually fails and steroid would have to given. I did not like that.
I read that traditional Chinese medicine (tcm) works and is safe so I decided to give it a try. It took 2 months but it worked. My nephew has been off all medications for 10 days now. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he will stay well. I read that Zyrtec interferes with so make sure not to take any other medication while taking TCM.
The TCM medicine was in powder form and was initially composed of 3 different herbs. About a half teaspoon of it was to be mixed with warm water and a little brown sugar, and taken twice a day for 2 weeks. I was also told to make him ginger water every morning which I did. The remaining 6 weeks his prescription had 6 herbs on it. I can’t read Chinese very well so I can’t tell you what they are. I was also told he needed to eat yang or warming food. You can find more information on that online by searching for yin yang food chart. It is all very weird but it worked for us.
