They found me a 6cm cyst on the right ovary

Hello. A couple of weeks ago I started to have pain on the right side so I went to the doctor and after an ultrasound they found me a 6cm hematologic cyst. A few weeks later (and after my period) I had another ultrasound and thee cyst shrunk to 2cm but I am still in pain. My period was between 1st and 6th of April. Can it grow back big again for a couple of days? I am conserned about that because a couple of years back one of my ovaries was removed because of a cyst. Can somebody tell me is it normal to still feel pain? And if anyone has any idea what might causing it other than the cyst. Thank you very much smile

I have had a very similar experience.. I had a 5cm cyst which upon a second ultrasound had halved in size.. The doctor said it can leave the ovary feeling sore but if the pain continues go back to my GP.. Well it did admittedly not as bad but still there... My GP now wants to rule out my bowel so having tests for that.. The cyst could of been a complete red herring! How long since your ultrasound?

My last ultrasound was on 15th of April. At first the pain was gone but it returned three days ago. I thought it might be related to the ovulation but according to calculation my ovulation was 4 5 days ago. I also have  tender breasts

I would give it a few weeks to settle down as long as the pain doesn't get any worse and then go back to your GP
