They think it's Gallstones

So I've been having on and off abdominal pain for the last 4 months. It would randomly hit me with debilitating pain for 30 minutes-1 hours. About 2 weeks ago I was rushed to A&E with severe abdominal pain, did bloods, urine dips and all came up clear so they sent me home saying it was a "gut brain interaction" and basically there was no physical cause for my pain. I was back in A&E the day after for the same pain and again 2 days after that. They gave me laxatives and antibiotics to see if it would make a difference but neither did. I spent 10 hours in A&E again last night and finally got an appointment with the surgical team today. They reckon it's gallstones or something similar. I've been reading people's experiences of Gallstones now and it seems to line up, except for the fact that my pain isn't going away this time- it's been present (though not as intense the whole time, I still get flares) has anyone else had a similar experience?
