Thick Mucus

When I "pop" my ears I feel mucus in my throat so I know my eustachian tubes are working but not very well.  Has anyone tried a diet to reduce mucus by eliminating/reducing sugar, wheat, dairy etc?

Yes. Switched to Almond Milk a couple of years ago, helped a lot. Also switched from coffee to Decaf - big imrprovement in the AM for clogged ears and recently cut out all alcohol, which also made a difference. Changes to your diet are the best way addressing mucus if you can't diagnose the reason behind it. Allergies can be very hard to get rid of and sometimes the side effects of medication like Zyrtec just aren't worth it. Hope you get better

How a pot filling a pot with water. Boiling then throwing a towel over your head about three times a day 15 minutes. To thin the mucous. Everyone has mucous its just when it thickens you notice it. Or even gauffasin..But id do steam either way. These eustatian tubes can get finicky.
