Thick womb lining with HRT

hello and thank you for any advice!

ive been on BHRT for over two years now i take 1 1/2 to 2 pumps oestrogel and continuous 100 utrogestan. On my last checkup my gyno said that my womb lining was too thick and i should take 200 utrogestan for two weeks, have a bleed and then two weeks later go back to my "normal regime". she also said that i could reduce to 1 pump of oestrogel if i wanted.

i did all of the above but only got some light spotting and no bleed.

feeling worried and not sure what to do. she is a good but grumpy gyno and gets irritated when i keep going back for questions. at one point she mentioned doing that regime 2weeks/weeks for a couple of months but then switched back to one month.

anybody else experienced this? feel worried about cancer etc

    hi gerry i will try put your mind at rest as i can relate to all that and does make me cross these dr getting grumpy if it wasnt for patients they wouldnt have a job !!! i am lucky my gynacologist is an angel . i have been on bio for 2 years and because of bleeding all the time had many scans lining ok but did thicken slightly due to not getting balance progesterone and me being intilerant like you i am now on 200 utrogestan suppostries fir day 1 to 10 each month along with patch 60 mg as 50 to low 75 to high so i cut bit off each time i change and take testogel which is great , unfortunatly i cant take oral progesterone of any kind as side affects, like you i was on 100 daily but spotted and grumpy !!! i am living in spain amd most womem on suppostries utrigestan so ask fir regular scan you entilted we pay r taxes !! good luck

      ps dont worry re cancer as long as you scan and settles down it is only a precaution even if lining thicker doesnt always mean you get cancer but you keep going back till yiu reassured and happy

    hi I was her for about 10 years and I had a little break through bleeding I had a few scans and sum biyops all were good just my womb was think so thay told me to come off my hrt .now on nothing

      hi not to bad still have hot flushed had a smear all was good and the womb has thined down a little bit thay happy with it I take evening oil primrose and a multivitamin good luck to you
