Thick yellow pus 4 weeks after haemorrhoid surgery

Hi,

I had surgery on 7 December, just over 3 weeks ago to remove internal and external haemorrhoids. The surgeon did not inform me of the pain and discomfort i would be going through, he said I would be back to normal in 2 weeks.

Although I am slowly healing, it seems to have reached a point where the external wound wont heal any further, and i can feel a lump in my anus.

I am also worried about the large amount of what looks like yellow pus being discharged.

I have spoken to the surgeon and my GP and they have given me a course of antibiotics, but have also said they can not detect any infection !.

Has any else experienced this, and how long did it take to fully heal.

WEEK 4 my surgeon recommended i have a MRI. Sill blood, pus & pain.

WEEK 5 Still some blood, pus, & painful to sit or walk. MRI result showed an infection had turned into a Fistula. The upper-gastro who performed the original surgery referred me to a colo-rectal specialist.

WEEK 6 Still occasional blood, reduced pus, still painful to sit or walk, but slightly improved. New colo-rectal surgeon says back to hospital for a look at the fistula and see what needs doing.

    WEEK 7 TBA

Week 7. Surgery again. Post op, surgeon said it wasn't a fistula it was a fissure.

To fix this he performed a sphincterotomy, hopefully to fix the fissure.

I'm now back to square 1 - agony, and blood. I'm wishing i never had the second surgery.
