Thigh pain and numbness.

I have been having very bad numbness and pain running down my thigh, GP thought my hip was slightly out of line and it was pinching the nerve that runs from back along groin and down my thigh, but I have had bursitis a few times late last year and it was agony, had injection and antibiotics, it never really got better, and recently its got so bad I stru'ggle to walk or stand for anything longer than minutes, gp sent me for X -ray, and the results were good, I am being sent for physio, but not certain how I will manage it.

Has anyone else experienced this and has physio made it better.

How did they diagnose bacterial bursitis?

I was in agony and could'nt walk, I had an injection into the bursa but it didnt help at all, I also had cellulitis , the first time, so I was on antibiotics for that, within a few weeks the bursitis came back and it was worst than ever, they normally take fluid from the bursa, but because I had not long got over cellulitis they were worried about using any needles in case of reinfection, so I was put back onto antibiotics the symptoms I had indicated an infected bursa, and after I had taken the antibiotics it improved a lot, but never really got properly better as it left me with this dreadful numbness and pins and needles in my thigh, at that time my GP said the bursa has swollen and trapped the nerve that runs along side the bursa and down the thigh, but its a few months ago now, and since my GP said it was due to the hip slightly slipping out of position, but the x-ray confirmed my hip is fine, but he is insisting I have physio, but I have my doubts as to that being a cure.
