thigh pain (awaiting op).

Can you hippies tell me if the nipping pain in front of my thigh is anything you experienced before your surgery?

I get groin pain and aching but at certain times, usually when i have done too much, i get worsening irritation/restless leg and the sensation of a nerve being nipped in the front of my left thigh.

Oh yes. Groin pain. Inability to straighten leg after sitting..and back ache. All gone now 9 weeks post op. Went back to work full time after 5 weeks which I would never have thought possible in week one!!

You'll be fine. Just do the exercises and look forward to being so much better

    Take care

Oh yes! All of the above!

My thighs and back hurt if I have stood too long, and usually still there the next day.

The restless legs are horrible especially if it comes on when you go to bed.

My hubby does a quick leg message if it happens. That can help a lot. I also get pain down the outside of both legs. Again when I have overdone it.

    You are not alone!

Restless leg at night is my biggest nuisance as no matter how tired I am it pre ends me having a good night .

I am nearly 5 weeks and doing really well in all other aspects so I guess it is all part of the process 🍷🍷

Hi Angela, I just had my left hip done 12 days now,

I did get upper thigh pain as you say, I had pain where I knew it was from my lower back, I get injections for that also, but yes the thigh pain I hope will be gone.  Hard to tell just yet but I think process of elimination will tell.

Good Luck & I hear we hippies heal faster than knees smile Bi lat for me.wink

I had mine done 5 months ago. I work for a well known older people's charity, most of my clients have had something repaired, replaced or removed and the rest just can't remwnber smile of all those who have had hip or/and knew replacemts , hips heal much better and are more effective I.e once we have recovered tjere is nothing that we cannot do our hips are like a 20 year olds (shame about the rest of us) but knee replacements are very different bending the knee is still difficult for some and they can never kneel on the operated knee. Of the hundred or so clients I have met witj hip replacements only two have had problems one kept dislocating and the other got an infection
