Things that helped me through TSW

Hi everyone, i've fought a battle with TSW for nearly a year and i can say i am nearly cured now. I haven't used them for too long before tsw and that could be the reason it took me "just" a year.

When my cycle of flare up comes now, i only get a few itchy and red patches and they are gone like day after i wake up with them.

So, i am going to list some things that helped me during last months of my battle.

1. Moisturizer withdrawal - will work for someone, for others it maybe won't. But when i decided to stop using any creams or lotions, after two weeks of very itchy, tight and painful, shedding skin i saw huge improvement in redness and oozing.

2. Zinc supplements - helped me with oozing and swelling

3. MSM tablets/powder with Vitamin C - Huge improvement in redness after only 3-4 days (i used 5g a dayof MSM + 1g of Vit C)

4. Dead sea salt bath - skin gets very irritated after bath, but after a 30 minutes or hour, redness is gone and skin feels smooth and soft

5. Didn't change diet much - but everyone's body is different.

6. Eating cocount oil (2 tablespoons a day) - not sure why, but when i started doing this i noticed that skin got very softer and i think it made my Moisturizer withdrawal much shorter. But when i used CO on skin i got bad reaction so i didn't continued with that.

I hope something will help you through your journey.

And remember, this condition will only make you stronger and healthier person. Every time you wake up in blood or shedding skin around you, when you feel itch that you can't scratch through all of your skin, when you ooze or swell, when you are embarassed to go out because of redness and when it hurts like hell - remember that after all of this, you will become a better and stronger person than you ever had. Just say to yourself - i can do that. And just imagine all the money you will save instead of buying expensive creams, lotions and topical steroids wink

Sorry for bad english.

Wish you all the best!
