Thinking of changing my morning dosage from AM to PM?.

Hi as the above states......so just wondering if by doing this will I have any adverse effect on my body? Any one changed their times....

i have been on Sertline for 5 and abit months gone from 50mg and then to 100mg and take it every day at the same time....but since upping the dose I sometimes get a real bed head just on one side of my temple... Soo I'm thinking of changing to bed time and then I can sleep it off as opposed to suffering through the day? Has anyone else tried this? Would it make any differce changing from a to pm?

any advice of anyone would be very much appreciated.. X

Hi Shelly I changed my dose from am to pm as I found it worked better for me. I didn't do it instantly though I just moved the dose taking time an hour forward each or every other day until I reached the time I wanted. Not sure if it would make any difference but it's worth trying

Hi Thankyou for getting back with all you'r suggestions.

firstly Tracey as you changed your am to Pm May I ask what u did? As you said you Didn't do it instantly? I originally take mine 7.30am, what do u suggest I do? Take it 7.30 at night? How did your body react? Was ther any changes? Any tips please....... I have been ok on this medication other than the other every other day getting a throbbing temple?.

shiley I instantly felt relief more or less straight away, I was entering into PERI  and for 9 months I went through hell with mood swings.......felt soooo relieved that they worked. Don't get me wrong it's no wonder drug and I still get Debbie downer days but nothing like when/before I was on them!!.

michelle:Thankyou also I'm a good sleeper and have to have at least 8-9 hours sleep or I'm horrid.....I'll give the am&pm a go if it disturbs my sleep we'll I'll reverse back to am!???!.

    Thanks ladies.x

Hi Shelly if you currently take t 7.30am, take it 8.30am tomorrow and so on until you reach the time you want. I take mine with my evening meal between 4pm and 6pm. I also sleep ok too. Not sure if it will make any difference but worth a try. Also I heard somewhere when you take the settraline it takes about 6 hours to take effect so if you want to avoid the headaches might be worth trying about 6 hours before you go to bed.

I changed mine recently as the drug was causing me swallowing difficulties so thought it be better by night than day and am delighted I did this, no problems to report except still the difficulty swallowing but not as bed by night as by day
