Third diverticulitis attack since January

my dad had diverticulitis and had to have a big portion of his main colon removed with a colostomy bag for several months while it healed:; my mother had diverticulitis and had to be very careful with her diet and then my sister ended up with stage IV colon cancer and died from it seven years ago upon which I had my first colonoscopy ever and they found a mass went in and did a right Hemicolectomy.

I was diagnosed with diverticulitis 12 years ago when I ended up in the ER laying on a gurney for five hours while they did all these tests and then finally came back and said “you have diverticulitis“… After my first colonoscopy and that surgery within a month after, they suggested that I have a colonoscopy every year. While obviously insurance won’t cover it except 1 in 10 years (and those are expensive) so I waited five years, thinking with my family history of colon cancer & my own high risk factor it would be covered but it was before the 1 every 10 years so insurance - even with my family high risk history did not cover it. In the 12 years since being diagnosed I have had 6 attacks with the last 3 attacks just since January when I had some essential chewing/grinding molars removed. It's been very difficult to maintain any decent diet but I have to admit my water intake has probably diminished by half because of my job where I have very little time to drink water because I am on the move for eight hours! I am wondering if besides the decreased water and fluid intake - that I am rectifying - the fact that my chewing molars are missing causing my diet to become a chaotic hit & miss mess, if this could also be a major reason my attacks have become more frequent? I used to eat lots of almonds, raw vegetables, apples etc but I hardly attempt to recently due to to the removed grinding molars... liquid diets don't appeal to me however I have resorted to yogurts, which I love… applesauce, Protein smoothies veggie smoothies but I sure miss my almonds, raw vegetables/fruits, chicken, fish etc. I will be having partials put in soon and I’m hoping that will help as well.
