Thirsty

This is going to sound weird, but is anyone else really really thirsty? I can't seem to get enough to drink. Of course I've been short of breath so maybe that has something to do with it? So tired of thisrolleyes.

Kathryn, I drink 1 liter of water thru the day, so not really thristy, but oh my goodness, the short of breath is NASTY. Pure hell. It makes me panic and want to run to the ER. I wheeze with it sometimes as well. Do you ever get the minor wheezing on days it gets bad? Ive been dealing with the shortness of breath for going on 9 months. Please let me know if you have found anything that makes it better or helps.

I don't know. I mostly get the SOB at night when I'm trying to go to sleep, I take Ativan if it gets really bad and my anxiety is through the roof. Hydroxyzine is great for anxiety also and not addictive. This all sucks so bad.

I took Xanax for the first time today and it finally calmed my anxiety and shortness of breath. But its so addictive and im afraid to take it more than once or twice a month. Im going to see if I can get a prescription for Hydroxyzine tomorrow. This peri does suck really bad.

I definitely feel your pain, I also have the severe anxiety and depression, chest pains if I forget to take my Serrapeptase, hypoclycemia, loss of appetite and weight. I could just go on. Maybe one day a doctor will read these forums, have pity on us and come up with something revolutional to help cure us.

truly amazing that after all these years they cannot do better at helping us thru this.

wouldnt that be wonderous Snowbell, i mean is it so much to ask to be well, or, less than that, some understanding from the medical profession, we cant get past the gps in uk to speak with the real professionals, but i was lucky enough to see an endocrinologist who was treating me for hypoglyceamia, and it was him who diagnosed me on the menopause and thats where i learnt so much information, but i cant remember it all now im afraid..............typical...........ha but, i think there the best people to see over it, unless you can get an actual dr who specialising in menopause even better.

I have all.of that plus horribly gassy.I'm on 300 mg of Effexor which I am not happy about I was suicidally depressed and hormones seemed to make it worse. I also take Klonopin for anxiety. Now I just seem to have the physical aymptoms.

    Hi kathryan,

Yes I go this off and on all the time. The doctor told me that I was pre diabetes. I just laughed and said yeah ok so premenopause has nothing to do with all the symptoms I am having. These darn doctors don't know crap about menopause stuff

We actually know more than they do. I jus drink a lot of water and vitamin water. And short of breathe, and arms and legs feel like lead. Yes all of it. Your not alone my dear. Hang in there.

thx you ....i too have arms and legs feel like lead...was having it really bad a few months ago...i know alot ofit was retained fluid but it was awful.....i had gestational diabetes and i'm wondering if maybe that's what i have now..going to my primary doc in few weeks to get tested.  ..ihave not been in few years ...and i have to have a D&C, Hysterscopy (sp?) and i have a polyp...uterine lining too thick.  but i've had all of these symptoms for the past few years ...i'm 53 post menopause for a yr and half

if your arms and legs feel like lead, that is more than likely due to low blood pressure, and dehyrdation will be causing that, and thas why your thirsty, just keep drinking the water, it should ease that a lot, drink no more than 3 litres per day, and sip it every ten mins, that should help you.

Maybe that's why I had so much of that lead feeling. I have a very low blood pressure anyway.

could be zigangie, if you had it before, then it will be worse now, if your bp is dropping especially if its making you feel passy out, then your not drinking enough, it will bring it back up when you drink.
