this common condition is killing our sexual life

Please help me. It has been a very painfull and hopeless experience for the past 3 years. I have a itching and unpleasant feeling when wee and it makes me hate sex as almost every month I have a period of a long discomfort. I apply the cream prescribed from my GP but it does not help in a long run. I am tired of pushing away my husband and finding excuse to not have sex. How can I stop feeling half a woman? My confidence disapeared. What is the best self help tool I can use to relieve the simptoms?

    Sounds like youve got chronic bacterial cystitis. A few weeks of amoxicillin may help smile

    I had the same experience. One GUM clinic said there was nothing wrong with me. I visited another and they diagnosed thrush & treated with pessary & cream. I eventually pinned it down to the Pill. I discussed this with Family Planning GP & she changed my Pill which helped for a couple of years. Eventually I gave up using the pill as contraception. Hope this helps.

    You may ask your gynecologist for more tests to try to understand what's wrong. Besides creams there are oral antifungal treatments (e.g. fluconazole)
