I am out of town for work. I just was std tested and everything was negative.
My last partner was two weeks ago and we used a condom so I am so confused on how it could be herpes.
This is not okay.. thank you for replying!

a full STD screening sexual health check does not test you for herpes, you need to requst it and have the sores swabbed, this looks like a primary herpes OB , you can still get it with a condom unfortunately or oral if they have oral herpes.

Well thats good to know, I will be getting retested when I get home. Whatever it was went away when the creme my dr prescribed me, so I am feeling like its not, these sores were not filled with any fluid so thats what made me feel like they were not herpes, there is only one real way to find out though.
I attached the pic from my last std screening, and they did test for it.
Thank you for your help!

im not trying to raise any panic, and im not a doctor, but it does look like herpes. i have read that swab test are not accurate because there has to be a certain amount of the virus to be detected. depends on if the sores begun to heal when you got your swab done. i even had a doctor say, he swabbed one person and it was negative, and took another swab later and it was positive.
i am going through the same anxiety right now. my tests were negative and im still waiting for confirmation. unfortunately you need to ask for an IGG blood test, but if this is a new infection, it will only be accurate after a couple of months. if its an old infection you didnt know you had (because the virus can be dormant for years), IGG should already be in your system. IGG antibodies last for life. but if this is the first "primary" infection, you may have to wait 8-12 weeks for an accurate blood test. please talk to another doctor to be sure. hopefully it isnt! we are all in this panic together

This is so upsetting! I hope we both are negative. I get confused because these aren't filled with fluid, they did not drain, they did no scab over.
The pictures I have seen do not look like this and my friend that did get genital herpes through oral sex said hers did not look like this either... the only way to be sure is from getting blood work I guess. I will be getting a full panel done Monday, if anything I hope this test is accurate.
Good luck!

the same thing happened to me i tested negative, then i had another OB had it swabbed the same day so they were able to detect the virus, honestly it sucks! such a tricky virus to control, but honestly ive not had an ob in sooo long now, i strongly advise taking daily Lysine vitamins, vitamin b complex and healthy vitamins for your inmune system, i also take daily aciclovir, i dont even realise i have it now i hope you get the results you want, good luck x

hello!
thank you for all the helpful information.
My swab test detected HSV 1 but my blood work was normal. I understand the swab is more accurate.
Not the news I wanted but it could be way worse right?
Stay safe and positive!
