ask your doc about prescribing you Diclofenac Sodium Topical Gel 1%- its a transderal gel that your body absorbs-- it helps with the throbbing pain.
I also take Tramadol for the pain and Trazadone for night.
I found advil didnt touch the pain-
take care, sue

I also have a LOT of pain that raidates down my arm. It gives me a dead arm and hand. Kind of like when you hit your funny bone really hard. Pain - numb - tingly - awefullness. Also, now when I do my stretching exercised, besides the deadarm, I have pulling down my side with lots of crunching and grinding in my shoulder. I don't know what stage I'm in. This all began around Fed 2016. Shot didn't help, and PT is terrible. PT gives me better ROM, but it's always very temporary, and lots of soreness the next day, so I quit going. I can't wait for this to end.

Hi Tina
My physio recommended lyrica for my nerve pain. It really does work, however it takes a short while to take effect and it does make you feel groggy and a little off balance but in time you will get used to it. I was on lyrica for a month's and then slowly had to reduce the mg before stopping completely.
Now I have no more nerve pain.
Good luck ?
