Thoracic consultant

hi all just a quick update.

Was diagnosed with multiple bilateral PEs in July. Had loads of tests and most came back ok. Went to a thoracic consultant last week who specialises in PEs, he told me that my tiredness and pain was t not caused by the clots or medication but that it could be phantom pain WTH. He said lots of people get clots and that I should basically just get on with my life. How the he'll can he yell me that the pain is psychosomatic? These Drs are so quick to dismiss you . Antpyone else had this experience ?

Yes I think this is way to common.  Sometimes I ask them if they have ever had one or hundreds like in my case, in both lungs.  They are quick to say oh it's anxiety.  It really gets my blood boiling, I was miss diagnosed for 5 months, said it was anxiety.  I say you know your body best and be persistent til you get a proper diagnosis.  Where do you live?

Oh my that’s crazy your DR would say that. I wouldn’t want to go back there again. You should try another DR. One that’s going to actually take the time out to properly diagnose you. Very sorry that happened to you.
