Those damn stairs

hi all,
just want to have a good moan. i am having problems at home with the stairs. those 13 steps are what lies between me and the loo, so you can imagine the pain of having to go up and down every time i need the loo which is a lot as i have overactive bladder.
i think it is time for me to have a chat with my gp about the amount of pain i am in using the stairs and see if there is anything she can do. mt grand daughters think it is fun seeing their grandma going up and down the stairs on my hands and knees.
once i have seen my gp i think i may contact my local council to see what the chances are of being considered for a bungalow. fingers crossed it is either this or spend almost all my time in my bedroom.
thanks for listening.
kind regards
janet

Am having the same problem balance and fibro fog, preventing me from driving and getting out, my Dr put me on duloxetine 6 weeks ago and it has screwed my fibro up terrible now having a bad time getting off it.
Tried several antidepressants to no avail for anxiety and fibromyalgia with ibsC, it's making me very frustrated and the pain is becoming unbearable.
hope you have better luck and are able to find something to help.

but thank god iv got a down stairs loo to . keep moving even when it hurst other wise you will get stiffer and sorer trust me i know . i find my homepathic remedies work well for me along with acupunture . drugs only cover up and cause other problems
i know other people in the same age group as me gone the gp route and altho they seem better for a while it catches up with them,
where i v just stayed steady in my symptoms and have some improvment . iv had it 10yrs and i still havnt given in .there might come a time ,no one knows . but pain killers cause constapation which then in turn puts strain on the bladder just making that worse. i drink decaff i find that helps . also reduce salt and sugar .
have you thought of making your bedroom into a sort of bedsit , with a recliner and a kettle and mini fridge sounds daft , but thats what i would do if i didnt have a down stairs loo, id have to . i just couldnt climb the stairs as often as i needed the loo .good luck with the council.

i sleep with it too ! my dr. put me on a medication called...Myrbetrig. now i have things under control, at least i can go out and about without wearing a safety pad on!
and the stairs....one day i tried to go up to see the baby's bedroom (my husband has 10 grandchildre, second marriage) i struggled one step at a time, pulling myself up with my arms...a real struggle, but then the next months i was ok at another step daughters circular stair case going up..but stuggled coming down.
we live in a condo now...thats a breeze!

Please don't think I'm a know it all but what I can see as many others is the inclination to fire drugs at people like ourselves and basically in a lot of cases add to are problems.
I have been suffering diferent types of pains through numerous work/don't know problems for about 17 years by the way I'm 46 in 12 days not 2 old.
What I am trying to saying will not inspire but hopefully make people realise if they do or don't that there millions worldwide who are suffering like ourselselves. Its a very complex problem and doctors cannot cure this.
First as is often flip entry talked of are food source is poisioned, water same do you see were I'm going its epidemic.Of course we can only do our best but this is a worldwide social problem called greed.
